Nicholas Brown
LSW
My Approach
Nick’s strength-based approach to therapy focuses on meeting a patient where they are and providing authentic, professional guidance. Nick’s goal is to create a space where patients feel comfortable speaking open and honestly about what brought them to therapy. His approach often includes skill building, psychoeducation, and introspection mixed with integration. He believes with the right clinician we are all capable of positively impacting our own mental health and well-being. Nick will remain focused on tailoring services to the specific needs of the individual wherever they may be in their lives. He believes that the best changes are ones we decide to make ourselves for internally motivated reasons. His method sets out to help patients explore their internal and external motivations while helping them to formulate a plan for behavior and thought modifications that match their desired outcomes. Nick’s goal is to always provide patients with skills that will set them up for long-term success. Nick strongly believes in the age-old adage “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
