Dani Selan

LPC, CADC

My Approach

Dani has a compassionate and client centered style when working with patients. She creates a safe environment where that allows patients to be themselves as they begin their mental health journey. Dani’s therapeutic purpose is to help guide patients through whatever challenging life circumstances have brought them to therapy and help them gain a better understanding of their own needs. A metaphor of Dani’s style is that she is the coach while the patient is the player on the field; she can tell you what the play looks like, however she cannot do the work when you are out on the field. What she values in her clients is an openness to the therapeutic experience, curiosity and a yearning to know more about themselves and what they find beneficial. While using a touch of humor to build rapport, Dani can help her patients gain new perspectives which will empower them to make changes in their life.
